Day 21 Daly Waters – Mataranka
Today we went to Mataranka. Mataranka has a lot of hot springs which I was very excited for. The drive wasn’t that bad as it was only about 2 and a half hours so it went very quick. We got there at around 10 and we set up and walked over to the hot springs. One of the hot springs is right next to our caravan park, so it was a quick walk to get there. When we got there, it looked so good as it was fully blue and when we dipped our hand in, it was super warm. According to a sign, the water is 34 degrees. After that, we had dinner then got in our bathers and went to the hot springs. It was so warm and nice and we spent an hour and a half just sitting there. When we got out, it was super cold, and I was freezing. After that, we went to the second hot spring in Mataranka, Bitter Springs. For this one we had pool noodles as it is more of a stream you float down, and it was so warm in there. We spent so long going around the circuit and it was great. There was a saltwater crocodile in Bitter Springs two weeks ago so we did keep an eye out, but it was fine. After we got back, we had dinner and went to a whip cracking show in our caravan park and then went to bed.
