Day 14 Kings Canyon – Alice Springs
Today started by packing up to drive to Alice Springs. The drive took 5 hours to do so it was a pretty long one, especially since we had to go back the way we came to get to Alice Springs. While we were on the way, though, we saw a dingo on the side of the road and a herd of wild camels just wandering around! When we got there, we stayed in a caravan park that was near the gorges and mountains around Alice Springs and it looks really good! One annoying thing was that our level was being weird and we realised we were lobsided so we had to unpack a lot of the van and re-hitch up to get more level. After that, we tried to look around Alice Springs, but since it was a Sunday, all the shops were closed. So we just went back to the van and ate dinner and went to bed. Tomorrow we will be exploring Alice Springs a bit more.
