Day 2 – Bordertown – Hahndorf

This was day 2 of our trip around Australia and it was Bordertown to Hahndorf. The drive was much shorter today in contrast to yesterday, with it only taking about two and a half hours to get there. Hahndorf is about 20 minutes’ drive from Adelaide, and it is a small German town. Because the trip was so short, we arrived at 12:30 today and setup our van before going to look around Hahndorf for a few hours.  It is quite a small place, and the main town was full of stores like ice-cream shops, Lollie shops, clothes shops, leather shops and there was even an alpaca coat store there. After we explored a bit and after I bought lollies, we drove back to the van and stayed there for about an hour before me and mum walked around the caravan park and saw a really red sunset that looked really good. (Photo below) I think most of the sunsets here are very orange because in Bordertown there was a bright red sunset that turned pink at the top but it set before we could get over there to take a photo of it. Then we went into Hahndorf and ate at a restaurant called Haus. Although it was a German restaurant, only dad had a German dish as mum had a parmigiana and I had calamari. Hahndorf was better than Bordertown in my opinion because there was much more to see and it was more exciting. After we got back, we sat in Nana and Pa’s caravan until it was time for me to go to bed.
