Day 34 Darwin
The first thing we did was we went to Crocosaurus Cove. The entrance is a big room underneath everything that has a lot of underwater views of about 6 crocodiles in separate tanks. Near the stairs to the main section, there is a small glass window into a big tank with lots of fish, stingrays and turtles. There was 3 massive barramundi by the glass. The barramundi were about half my height which is super big. Up the stairs to the main section, there is a bigger view of the tank with 3 walls of glass showing the underwater section. We could see 2 turtles swimming around and a snapping turtle on a rock in the middle. The next thing we did was we went into the reptile feeding show where a blue tongue lizard was being fed and there was also a woma python. I got to hold the lizard and the python, and I even got to put the snake around my neck! The next thing we did was we went through the reptile zone of Crocosaurus Cove. It had lots of snakes and lizards and there were even some baby crocodiles in a tank and a pig nosed turtle swimming around. In the middle of the reptile zone, there was a turtle show where they talked all about the turtles and I even held a turtle. After the reptile zone, we saw the crocodile feeding show where there was a bit of meat strung onto a large pole and they would put it above the crocodile’s head, and it would jump out and eat the meat. When they snapped their jaws, it made a really loud thump. After we left Crocosaurus Cove, we went back to the van and basically just stayed there until we had dinner and went to bed.
