Day 50 Broome

We woke up early to go to Gantheaume Point. Gantheaume Point is right at the beach, and it has a lot of old dinosaur footprints in the rock. We had to get there at about 7 am because the tide would come up and fully submerge everything. It was a really hard climb down, especially since I was in thongs because my shoes were being washed. The rocks were really slippery and big, but it was pretty fun to climb over them. After about 30 minutes, we climbed off the cliff onto the beach. It was pretty hard to find the prints as any dinosaur that had a round footprint would be indistinguishable with a hole in a rock. After a little bit, we found the footprints. It was a big three-pronged shape in the rock, and it looked pretty good! There was another fainter one next to it and there was a trail of them going down the beach. When we were going out of the beach, we saw an osprey in its nest on a lighthouse. It looked really good, and it was feeding the chicks. After we went to the footprints, we went to swim in the beach. It was so warm, and it was really nice. It was pretty fun when a big wave came as you would have to jump over it or swim under it. The water was also super salty, and it felt like it was 3 times saltier than in Melbourne. We spent about an hour in the beach, and then we went back to the van. We stayed in the van until the sun set and then we went to the beach to eat dinner on a picnic table. When the sun set, it turned really red, and it looked good! After we finished dinner, we came back to the van and then went to bed.
