Day 58 Coral Bay
We started off with a walk on the beach in the morning. We had to go over a lot of rocks and the sand dunes got really high! They were over double my height and it would’ve been really hard to climb. We also saw some crabs on the rocks that were sunning themselves. In the water, we saw a few stingrays near the shallow water. At the end of the walk, we got to a shark nursery where all kinds of reef sharks lay their eggs. We saw lots of sharks in the water, and some got pretty close to us. They were also really big, and I think a few of them were as long as me. After that, we went to the bakery where I got a jam donut. We then went back to the van and got our bathers on to go to the beach. We went snorkelling far into the reef and I even saw an eel which was trying to get under a piece of coral. There were also heaps of parrot fish in there eating all the corals and you could hear the crunching really loudly. After that, we saw a fish feeding thing at the beach where a marine park member got about 20-30 spangled emperor and I fed one. I think a piece of food dropped near my foot because one of them went down to my toe and nibbled it trying to eat the food. I then did a bit of swimming back and forth to the coral and the shore for fun. After we went to the beach, we went to a restaurant for dinner. I had a goldband snapper and it tasted really good. When we had dinner, we came back to the van and went to bed.
