Day 65 Kalbarri – Jurien

Today we had to get up early because we had to get to Jurian early. It was an uneventful drive and we got to Jurian before lunchtime. We set up the van and made lunch and then we drove to The Pinnacles. The drive was about 30 minutes, and we went into the information centre first. The Pinnacles Desert is apparently a lot of limestone pillars that rise and low in the ground when the sand piles up and gets blown away. When we got there, we saw the sand was super bright yellow and it was so surprising about how yellow it was. There were hundreds of big limestone pillars coming out of the ground and most of them were taller than me. We were driving around the desert and when we were walking around, there were big dark storm clouds coming over and it started to rain slightly. There was a lookout going over most of the desert and there were heaps of pillars. After the desert, we went into town and looked around a bit. We went to the dock and saw all the boats moored and some boats in the drydock. We then went onto the beach to watch the sunset. We walked over the jetty and then we walk down and back the beach. There were lots of cuttlefish bones on the beach and lots of blue bottles as well. After the beach, we had dinner and then came back to the van. We then went to bed.
