Day 7 Erldunda
Today was the 7th day of our trip. We started out by driving for 3 hours until we got to a small truck stop on the side of the road. We stopped there to have lunch. It was pretty cool because the ground was becoming properly red now. We drove for another 2 hours until we got to Erldunda which is about an hour away from Uluru. The caravan park is a free-camping spot, so we didn’t have power or water from the caravan park. The sites are near a few emu and camel enclosures, so we went to go take a photo of them both. The camel was really cool because it is the first time, I have seen a camel in real life, and it was really tall. I think it was around 9 foot tall. After we checked out the camel and the emu, we cooked burgers for dinner and ate it in Nana and Pa’s van. Then we went and got out the telescope and saw all the stars and galaxies in the sky. You could see a lot more than usual as well because there was much less lights around. After we looked at that, we played a game of rummikub and then went to bed.
