Day 70 Perth – Margaret River
We got up early today and drove out of Perth. We stopped in a few places along the way, but we didn’t stay that long in any of them until Busselton. We stopped the car and walked over to the kilometre long jetty. We needed to catch a train to go across it. It was about a 20-minute drive to the end of the jetty and when we got to the end, you could see how far you went. The jetty was so long, and it was pretty cool to be so far out. After the jetty, we went into the information centre. There was a small train that was in there and apparently it used to be used for log carrying. We then went into the van to have lunch and kept driving to Margaret River. The next place we stopped at was Cape Naturalist. There was a lighthouse on the point, and you could see the reflective lens rotating around in the top. There were also whales out there and they were probably the same ones we saw in Kalbarri. It was really windy out there and pretty cold, so we came back to the car and kept driving. It was only about an hour after that to Margaret River. We went into the caravan park and set up the van. There was a pretty cool bird that was really colourful on the fence right behind our van. The others went into town to look around, but I had to write the 3 blogs because we went swimming at the night in Perth, so I didn’t have time to right them. After they got back, we had dinner and then we went to bed.
