Day 80 Kalgoorlie – Esperance

In the morning, we packed up the van pretty early and then drove out of Kalgoorlie to Esperance. We drove for about 2 hours and stopped in Norseman to stretch our legs and have a break. While on the way, we were stopped by a BHP cargo train which was pretty cool, and it was carrying iron ore over to the port in Esperance. We drove the rest of the way to Esperance, where it started raining, but luckily, it wasn’t very heavy, so we set up without getting too wet. Mum and Dad went to look around, but I just stayed in the van because I will see the town anyway tomorrow. We got pizza for dinner and drove over to the beach where we had it while looking at the beach. The waves were nice to listen to but there were lots of mosquitoes around that kept biting us. We went to have a look at the beach and saw the port as it lit up and it had so many lights on it! The beach was pretty nice, and I am hoping we can swim in it tomorrow because it will be 30 degrees. We came back to the van after that and then stayed there for a while until we went to bed.

The port lit up everywhere
