Day 85 Eucla – Ceduna
We got up in the morning and packed up the van to go across the Nullarbor Plain. On the way, we went over the South Australia border which meant we had to put our clocks forward another 45 minutes. We got to the Nullarbor Plain and I saw there were no trees there at all and it was completely empty of anything but saltbush. We stopped at a lookout on the way that went over the Great Australian Bight. You could see all the way along the cliffs with the waves hitting them. On the road, there were lots of lizards that we had to keep dodging. When we stopped for lunch, we found out that Nana and Pa’s car had broken down and that something was wrong with the engine. Pa called a tow truck to pick the car and their van up and Nana got in our car to go to Ceduna. The tow truck dropped Pa off about 2 hours before Ceduna because it was getting late. Nana had to stay in a cabin at the caravan park while Pa stayed at the van. Mum and Dad drove around Ceduna to look around and I climbed over the sand dunes to look at the water. The sun was halfway down the horizon when I got there so I was able to get a photo of it. The water looked pretty nice, and it had gone down a lot so there were these pools in the sandy bit. We came down to the van after that and had dinner and then went to bed.
